Furniture EAC Certification
Furniture, furnishings and accessories, as well as lighting products, in order to be imported into Russia shall be subject to the mandatory EAC Certification of compliance which can be confirmed by:
- EAC Certification of conformity
- EAC Declaration of conformity
Furniture and furnishings
The technical regulation TR CU 025/2012 "On safety of furniture" sets out the safety requirements and assessment procedures to market furniture products for private and commercial use in Eurasian Economic Union (consisting of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan). The TR CU 025/2012 doesn’t apply to:
- Medical, dentistry and veterinary furniture
- Furniture for use in rail, sea and aviation
- Antique furniture
- Second-hand furniture
- Sampling intended for exhibition at the fair
The furniture shall comply safety requirements established in the TR CU 025/2012. 
This means that the furniture must meets all the applicable mechanical, chemical, hygienic, fire and electric safety requirements, provide the EAC Mark and be accompanied by the EAC Declaration or EAC Certificate of compliance issued and registered by the Representative of the foreign manufacturer.
Furniture with integrated lighting can also be included in other Technical Regulations, such as TR CU 004/2011 "On the safety of low voltage equipment" and TR CU 020/2011 "On electromagnetic compatibility".

Lighting products
The Technical Regulations TR CU 004/2011 "On safety of low voltage equipment" and the TR CU 020/2011 "On electromagnetic compatibility of technical devices" are applicable to appliques, lamps and lighting products in general. Each item must comply with the electrical and electromagnetic safety requirements foreseen by the Technical Regulations. To be sold on the Eurasian market, lighting products must bear the EAC logo and be accompanied by the EAC Declaration or EAC Certificate of compliance issued and registered by the Representative of the foreign manufacturer.
Certification process
EAC Certification is based on product samples delivery to a Russian accredited test laboratories, as well on the analytical basis of the product technical documentation and positive test protocols provided by the accredited test laboratory. It is very important that all technical documents such as technical passport and instructions are available in Russian language.
